1868: Things I found in my parents' backyard...

The black-and-white cat belongs to a neighbor up the street, but the black one is a stray cat my parents have been working on getting into a shelter.

For a stray animal, it's very comfortable around people -- which leads us to believe it belongs to someone who can't care for it anymore, or that it's simply an abandoned pet. Its fur is matted and balled into clumps, so it needs some severe grooming and care, but it's otherwise healthy; eyes and ears seem clear, good appetite, and no wounds that we're able to detect. Assuming no owner is found, my parents intend to take the cat in and pay for any shots and treatment it might need to make it adoptable.
