1844: Please, please, please let me get what I want.
Namely, a harlequin Great Dane!

We met one in Ocean City, Maryland once. Full disclosure: I'm not 100% sure whether it was Ocean City, Maryland or Ocean City, New Jersey. Perhaps neither. Who can say? Certainly not me. You see, beyond Manhattan, things are a little bit of a question mark for me. Whenever I leave the city, I just put myself in the hands of more competent people (like Aili) and they help me get from point A to point B.
All I know about it is that they had a lot of delicious taffy and one adolescent Great Dane named Casper. According to his owners, he was at the beach to become more acclimated to crowds and he was visibly nervous about it; he had his tail tucked up between his legs the entire time people like me were freaking out around him and trying to pet him. How could we not? He was awesome!
