1663: Thank you, Pete.

As many of you know, I've got a new job and my own little office to go with it. And now, thanks to Pete, I've got a little speaker system for my iPod to go inside that little office.

It's a a JBL On Stage micro, in light blue. It's just the right size for the room, and it matches all the other blue-colored stuff I have in there -- most notably, the bird lamp everyone comments on when they come in to see me.

Although I have a really beautiful Klipsch set-up at home for my iPod (also, thanks to Pete, who must occasionally wonder why he does such things when they only serve to punish his generosity via his ears), I didn't have anything of the sort for work. The old office was an open-plan one, and if I listened to my own music, I opted for earphones (presumably to the relief of my coworkers). At the new place, I'd mostly been enjoying Play Classical UK through iTunes; now, I'll have a lot more choice of what I can listen to while I work.

Three guesses what that'll end up being...
