1543: How do I quit you?

Just kidding, I'd never break up with you!

I'm on vacation and for whatever reason, I thought that meant also taking a vacation from the internet -- I guess you can see how that turned out.

I've actually been quite productive with my time off. I've gone through a tremendous amount of stuff in our apartment and cleaned up, sorted out stuff for donations, and been busy taking care of all the exhausting details that normally have to slip but wind up weighing on me in some weird, psychological sense. I always feel like life would be better if only my drawers were better organized -- and so far, life actually is a little better with tidier drawers.

I don't intend to spend my vacation (the first since... I don't know - 2004?) working my butt off, although so far, that's mostly what it's consisted of -- working my butt off and listening to Elvis...

Duh.

But I'll be heading out to have an actual vacation shortly, when my relationship with the internet will temporarily be put on pause (excluding, of course, my obsessive Blackberry use, which will continue without interruption) -- but to be revived immediately upon my return. Never fear!
