1465: Home alone.
Well, not quite.
Pete's work has him down in Costa Rica at the moment, and while I was initially filled with envy (I'm still here in NYC, working hard for the money... so hard for it honey) and then panic over the boredom I knew I would experience in the absence of my better half, I have found a silver lining.
I have been having a non-stop Morrissey fest.
And... I ate candy for dinner!
It's like the time Sarah (college roommate, living legend) went away for a few days in the absence of a more responsible person, all I did was watch movies, drink massive bottles of Diet Coke, and eat tiny chocolate donuts with Shoshi. In hindsight, I'm surprised we didn't die. Organized, uptight, grown-up, whatever -- it's nice to know that at 27, I have the exact same reaction I did as a wee thing whenever left unsupervised: I'M GONNA EAT CANDY!

Mortifying? Yeah, a little. But in the grand scheme of things, my vices aren't so bad. Some people have addictions that ruin their lives and the lives of everyone around them. Me? I like to eat cupcakes and look at pictures of baby animals on the internet -- you got a problem with that? I didn't think so.
Now, if you need me, I'll be mixing up black-and-white milkshakes for Morrissey and every one of his band members -- past, present, and excommunicated.
