502: "We're really excited about this."

So last night, with the assistance of Die Weiße Geräuschmaschine, I dreamt of aliens, snipers and convertibles with unreliable door locks.

I wasn't especially panicked when my mom and I had to escape an alien invasion in a stolen convertible. I was panicked when the doors came flying open as we drove off, forcing us to return to the house (which wasn't anything like the house I grew up in, of course) where a SWAT team* was surrounding a sniper... on our roof.

Who knows what became of the aliens -- no one else seemed concerned about it, so neither were we. I was more concerned about the fact that the cops were totally stoked the otherwise uneventful sniper event was about to escalate into full-on mayhem. They said they were "really excited" about it, especially given how long they'd been waiting for the sniper to start taking people out and get the proverbial party started. I went inside, and woke up to a far less eventful morning.

* No, it wasn't the SWAT team Kristina, Niti and I met in Vienna. I didn't have to pantomime-talk and they didn't dance to Falco.
