186: This made my day... (NOW WITH EXTRA VENOM!)
Pete, knowing how much I hate idiot sportsfans, handed me a page from today's edition of the Metro.
"Do you believe the allegations Jose Canseco made about steroid use in Major League Baseball?"
Michael, 24, is a real estate broker in Manhattan.
Michael responds with:
"Canseco is a sellout. He broke the circle of trust of the warriors he went to battle with every day."
Ha ha ha!
Edit: Chris feels I've been too easy on "Michael." I know I have been, but I wanted to spare you a rant on the idiocy of sportsfans who make declarations about how "anything less than a championship is UNACCEPTABLE" or "we're going all the way this year" or "go big or go home, bro." I hate fans who mistake themselves for being integral parts of the team and a key player in its success. They will not win or lose because you ignored your whiney girlfriend on a Saturday, increased your waistline with some crappy Bud Light, or wore any particular licensed article of crappy fan attire. And unless you're on the payroll, the team is not "we." Believe me, they don't want your help, nerd.
Did he get "circle of trust" from Meet the Parents?!
If you have time to worry about any noble warrior betraying his teammates (which do not include you, son), you are doing something wrong in life. Maybe you should stop waxing poetic, betraying your deep-rooted man-love, and get a hobby. Or a life. Just a thought.
