179: Our apartment could beat your apartment up.

As I fell asleep last night, my fingers sore from our rapid-fire construction of numerous Ikea products and my mind filled with a mild concern that these same Ikea products could suddenly and inexplicably fall apart, I thought about how happy I am in the apartment. It's the best apartment ever. Seriously.

Here's some of the things I like about it:

1) Pete lives there and I like Pete.

2) We have windows everywhere, and because we live on the top floor, we have an incredible amount of light. Even the windows that face into the "ventilation shaft" are nice and bright. The shaft is really more of a courtyard with a tree and a lot of open space. From our windows we can see all of our potentially cool and friendly neighbors, some of whom play xbox 24-7.

3) There is a cat across the courtyard that sits in his open window and stares at me, and alternately, at birds on the roof. I have named him Travis. I have not consulted with his owners about this.

4) I like everything we own. Well, except for this broom we bought last night. It's an awesome broom, it just looks really weird.

5) The bathroom has the best lighting and mirrors... EVER.

6) Our apartment RULES YOU.
