144: I hate technology
I know you don't believe me when I say it, but I really do hate technology.
Even if my preferred means of communication is text message, I refuse to upgrade the phone I purchased 2+ years ago. No, I don't want a camera phone and no I don't want it to have a ring that sounds like the Legend of Zelda regardless of the song it's actually meant to be. No, I will never wear a headset, and no, I will probably not answer my phone unless it's an emergency.
Yes, I do have an iPod but it was a hand-me-down from Chris, who has nothing but love for technology (and clothes). No, I don't really know how to work it, and I haven't even had time to sort out the playlists yet. In fact, the only competent thing I've done with it is managing to NOT throw it into a busy intersection like I did the last one. (I'm sorry, Nomad II.)
And yes, I do have a blog. I had configured it to not allow comments in order to prevent spamming and contact with losers, but in the process, I made it impossible for people I actually do like to comment. Whoops. I think I've fixed it but who can say?
In related news, Chris has convinced me to use Trillian and not Yahoo/AIM. I'm sure you've noticed that for the past 2 years, I've not been on AIM like, ever. I switched to Yahoo for some reason and when Chris told me to get Trillian, I held out for several months before finally giving in. Trillian is... I don't know, it's a bit awkward. I can't figure out how to change my buddy icon on the AIM connection to my new one. Windows seem to disappear when I click elsewhere. So, I apologize in advance -- I'm not ignoring you, I just have no idea you're talking to me.
So, hit me with some comments sometime. I hate technology but I adore you.
Edited to Add: The comment thing still doesn't work. Damn it! Ideas, anyone?
