131: From my closet to yours.
I have purged my closet and drawers; an incredible amount of clothing and accessories will be dropped of at Goodwill. The clothes alone fill two giant Rubbermaid storage tubs. The shoes fill a large shopping bag. The bags... the bags don't fit anything. Words cannot begin to describe the amount of stuff I'm giving away.
Why? Well, because I can and want to. In a few months, Pete and I will be getting an apartment together and it seems like a good time to rid myself of unnecessary belongings. Much to my mother's horror, I can do this without even the tiniest bit of hesitation or second-guessing. I am, probably, the least sentimental person you know. I have no qualms with tossing out everything, save my music and a few select bags, and starting over from scratch.

During the course of this project, I was confronted with the frightening truth that I have bought a lot of stupid things in the past 24 years. And I was left to wonder, will Goodwill accept vinyl pants -- and have they ever done so before?
Because of me, a low-income Goth in my city may have a very merry Christmas indeed! Bless!
