130: CELEBRITY SIGHTING:
Steve Schirripa

As we ate lunch on Saturday, we had an unusual celebrity sighting. Sitting beside us in our restaurant was clearly someone from "The Sopranos" although neither of us could remember his real name.

It was Steve Schirripa, who plays Bobby. He was eating lunch with another man and two little girls. Tacky people leaned back in their chairs to take photos with their camera phones (so tacky), or came into the room to gawk with an appalling lack of subtlety.

What was so unusual about this celebrity sighting? I don't know exactly. Perhaps it was that we couldn't immediately identify him, aside from knowing that he was "somebody." We walked out, having finished eating, and examined a poster listing characters from the Sopranos and were then able to properly identify him. These posters were being sold on the street along side framed photos of the Godfather because, of course, we were in Little Italy -- precisely where you shouldn't eat lunch if you're on the Sopranos.
