120: CELEBRITY SIGHTING

I just saw U2 on the back of a flatbed truck, rolling down 7th Avenue and eating pizza. I believe they were filming something, although mostly they were just waving and eating. I waved to The Edge, just because.

Their hair looked really good, by the way. Does Bono dye?

Edited to add: According to their website, U2 were on their way to Brooklyn, where they were staging a freebie concert/tv shoot.

Apologies to Pete, to whom I described the encounter in a badly worded email, leading him to believe that the band was demanding that people on the street eat. I meant to say that they were "saying 'hi' and eating some pizza" and not "saying 'hi and eat some pizza.'"

He says he wishes they’d been shouting "EVERYBODY EAT PIZZA! ONE, TWO, THREE, FOURTEEN!"
