108: Moz Fan Snobbery
Tight security has been making for a strange and sometimes unpleasant Morrissey-concert experience. Among other things, jumping on stage to hug him is VERBOTEN and security forces fans to dispose of their flowers before entering the venue, never having a chance to give them to Moz. The situation has certainly put a damper on the show experience, but not on the snide attitude of the fans. Bless!
From the boards at MorrisseyMusic.com:
It's sad... Throwing the flowers onstage was always a staple on his shows in the past. I only saw one girl with flowers in NYC- and the security guard took them and handed them to Moz onstage- it was lame... but then again- so were the flowers (roses or carnations or something).
HA!
I was at that show. I saw those flowers. And I thought the same thing.
