83: Ugh.
In the theme of Nothing Going Well Today, my lunch is ruined.
I decide I'll try something new for lunch, or at least something I haven't had in forever. I decide I'll have an everything-bagel-with-cream-cheese, which I haven't eaten in maybe a year or so. My old bagel place has since gone out of business, so I step into a nearby deli and hope for the best.
The gross help behind the counter burns my bagel because he's too busy leering, and attempts to toast another. I wait with my eyes in danger of popping right out of my skull, issuing a warning that if he continues looking, I will gut him like a pig. Finally, he takes my bagel to the register where I attempt to pay. Thinking he's slick, he tries to give me a discount of $.05 off my bill. When I try to pay anyway, he gives me a "sssh" and gestures like, "Oh, don't you worry. This is on me. Will you be my childbride?"
I, of course, scoff at this. I roll my eyes and slam my nickel down on the counter before turning on my heel and leaving. I think to myself, "I will never go back there. At least not without a gun."
And that was BEFORE I saw what my lunch looked like.
The lazy *beep* used a dirty knife. My bagel had a weird streak of red which smells like curry -- a likely remainder of someone else's disgusting lunch of rancid, rotting deli chicken. GROSS.
Ugh.
Well, it's yogurt-and-granola lunch day, then. That's not so bad. Neither is this: We're seeing Morrissey tomorrow.
